Awsome Car
By Rick | on Saturday, January 05, 2008
I've had Toyota cars and trucks since I was 18 (Now 35)and I've always had great luck and good service from the dealerships. This is by far the best one I've owned. It's ride is quiet and smooth and it has enough power for everyday commuting. The driver sits up in the cabin so it feels like you are in a bigger vehicle. It's easy to get in and out of. Great gas mialge 35-40 on highway and 28-34 intown. I fit 2 bikes in the back with the seats folded down. The sound is great from the 160 watt stereo system and all the standard options are awsome. I'm keeping this car till it falls apart. I love driving it and it's a great value.… - 3.0

Great car if youre not concerned with appearance.
By Spenny | on Thursday, January 18, 2018
I just traded in my 2005 Scion XA after 227000 miles. I was the second owner. It came to me in 2014 with about 160,000 miles. The previous owner was a family member, so I knew that the regular maintenance had been kept up with to that point. The engine was running great, and I was getting 30-35 MPG up until the last 3 months or so of driving. In 2015 I had to replace the exhaust including catalytic converter which cost me 900+. The following year I had to replace a wheel bearing that cost another 400+. Other than tires / brakes / oil, I had no other repairs or maintenance done to the vehicle in the last 4 years of its life. I finally had to give up on it because the transmission was slipping and was losing about 100 miles per tank. The car gave me everything it had and more. As far as driving, it was what it was. Acceleration was poor, so speeding up to get on the highway was a struggle at times. But you dont drive this car for speed and acceleration. I took a lot of jokes from my friends because of how small and goofy the car was. But you can park the car anywhere. With no scientific evidence to back up my claim, I think police officers are much less likely to pull this car over than most others. Much more room inside the car than it looks from the outside, and when you fold the back seats down you can fill the car with quite a few things. All in all, this car is worth it if youre concerned about reliability, practicality, and MPG over flash.…
